Jose Marques, 81, died at his home in Newark on Monday, March 8, 2010.
He was born in Lisbon, Portugal and came to the US in 1953 where he has resided in the Ironbound Section of Newark and Palm Coast, Florida.
He was a Mechanic for Assarco Co. in Newark for many years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Sport Club Portuguese, Newark, where he served as Vice President. Mr. Marques was also a member of the Palm Coast Portuguese Association of Palm Coast, FL.
Husband of the Late Laura Martins Marques; devoted and loving father of Vitor Vieira, Mimi Marques-Aiman and Nanette Marques-Freitas; dear grandfather of Tony and Philip Vieira, Jeanine and Michelle Freitas; also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
