Jose Augusto da Cunha Pereira, 65, died on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingtston, NJ.
He was born in Sopo, Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal and came to the US in October 1983 and resided in Union, NJ.
He was a Machine Operator for Waste Management Corp. of Port Newark for 10 years. He was a Bartender for Iberia Restaurant of Newark for 10 years. He served in the New Guinea War in 1964.
Beloved husband of Maria Rita (Nee Guerreiro) Pereira; devoted and loving father of Jose Carlos and Paula Pereira; brother of Joaquim, Manuel, Antonio, Jorge and Fernando Pereria, Maria Cunha, Isabel Fernandes, Alzira Pereira and the late Joao Pereira; cherished grandfather of Michael, Alexis and Bella.
