Maria J. Rocha (Nee Benevides), 87, died on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at her home in Newark.
She was born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal, and came to the US in 1974 and has resided in the Ironbound Section of Newark.
Wife of the Late Leonel Rocha; devoted and loving mother of Maria Da Graca D'Ambrosio and her husband Giuseppe, Maria Do Fatima Maia, Leonel Rocha and his wife Patty, Emanuel Rocha and his wife Gracinda, Jose Rocha and his wife Gina and the late Maria Do Ceu Rocha; sister of Manuel Soares of the Acores, and Adelina and Georgina of Canada; also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
